It was really strange to see highlights of the chess match on ESPN at a bar last night. But if golf is a sport then maybe chess should be, too.
I wonder what posesses someone to come up with a weblog like this one. It's educational, though.
Crazy Octopus Tricks: in Munich, they trained one to open jars, but it only opens jars with treats inside. They're so smart I almost feel bad eating them. But hey, if we weren't meant to eat animals, they wouldn't be made out of meat, would they?
My dad had a client who had a saltwater aquarium with an octopus in it. Close to it was a freshwater aquarium. He noticed that every once in a while, a fish would just disappear from the freshwater acquarium. One day he woke up at the middle of the night and noticed the octopus moving across the room with a fish.
I kind of wonder if it's a tall tale. Octopuses are invertabrates and so I'm not so sure that they would be capable of motion on land. But they're smart enough to do it.
Things that make you go hmmm: Nude protesters in Central Park spell out 'No Bush'.
