"I want to live like a poor man with lots of money" -- Pablo Picasso

Our mini chess tournament was tied up 1-1. We were evenly matched, making it a lot more fun. Usually when I play, I get my ass handed to me. I played white the first game and after a solid opening and a tense soviet arms-race style midgame, I managed to squeak by the endgame with a win.

The second game was different. I badly botched the opening, but then Sean was a little too quick in launching an attack against me, so I was able to drive him away, but I missed a killer opportunity along the way. I was proud of my rook sacrifice, but I didn't have enough respect for one of Sean pawns that turned into a queen while I was gallavanting around trying to take as many of his pieces as possible. It would be safe to say that when we both lost our edge, it was because we went balls-out at the wrong time and that exposed weaknesses in our position. God, I'm talking like a chess geek already.

Well, if that doesn't make me more of a geek, then this certainly will. A really cool app that I downloaded will let you store games, annotate them, export them as HTML and as a kicker, the computer will even analyze the game move by move to tell you where you made mistakes.

Moves that have parens under them mean that the computer thought another move would be better. The numbers represent the strength of the position. Positive numbers are an edge for white, negative numbers are an edge for black. So without further ado:
