The Hours
Went and saw The Hours yesterday. The acting was incredible, but the gratuitous use of parallel structure in the film was driving me batty - it would have been nice if they could stick to one storyline for a few minutes at least.
My girlfriend says the film is about the perils of looking to other people to define yourself and be happy. As for me, I think that the morals are:
- Relationships are tough but throwing a good party is even tougher.
- Don't read Mrs. Dalloway; it will mess up your life and you'll end up a crazy person with lesbian tendencies.
