Tried that Ardbeg scotch the other night. It was even better than the description. It smells like a campfire on the beach, it has a smoky start and the finish is all oranges and marmalade. Amazing.

New Years Resolutions
So many goals for 2003. It's looking like it will be a good year, full of changes. Some resolutions I wanted to get down:
- Work out four times a week
- Plan 75 percent of all meals
- Do one house project per month
- Be an Alpha Male in all parts of my life.
I like the phrasing of the first three. It's my belief that goals need to be managable if you're going to attain them. That means the goal must be attainable; it must be measuable; and it must be possible to track progress towards the goal. Goals should be stated in the positive, as in, there should be a clear path of action towards the goal. That's pretty difficult with the last one. It might be attainable, but it can't be measured (well some indirect consequences are measurable) and there isn't a clear path of action. I'll have to work on that.
